Participants of the Enhancing Climate Information & Knowledge Services for Resilience were introduced to the KoboCollect tool thru the SPREP. After the participants had a firm grasp of the KoboCollect tool, a sample survey was conducted to get hands on experience of the KoboCollect tool.

A number of key health issues – food and water safety and security, respiratory and vector-borne diseases, mental health, and extreme weather-related impacts – were identified as priorities. In addition, barriers to implementation of the plan, such as insufficient funding and human resources, apathy and stigma, were highlighted. Stakeholders suggested responsible RMI agencies, strategies to manage these risks and timeframes.

It is a tool compromising of transparent procedures and processes to assist and guide decision makers in resolving public complaints/concerns pertaining to intervention/activities implemented under the GCF-UNEP Programme, Enhancing Climate Information and Knowledge Services for resilience in 5 Pacific countries (UNEP CIS-Pac5).

 Objectives:

It is a tool compromising of transparent procedures and processes to assist and guide decision makers in resolving public complaints/concerns pertaining to intervention/activities implemented under the GCF-UNEP Programme, Enhancing Climate Information and Knowledge Services for resilience in 5 Pacific countries (UNEP CIS-Pac5).

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) was engaged by the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) to lead community engagements on the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) in eight Atolls. The engagement team was comprised of IOM staff and three Non Governmental Organization partners; Jo-Jikum focusing on youth, Women United Together Marshall Islands (WUTMI) focusing on women and inclusion, Marshall Islands Conservation Society (MICS) focusing on livelihoods.
