This brochure is one output from a two-year Technical Cooperation Programme Project, on strengthening the national capacities of Pacific Island Countries to monitor Sustainable Development Goals Target 2.1 using information collected in their most recent or ongoing national Household Income and Expenditure Survey.

This report presents the main results derived from the analysis of the food data collected in the 2019/20 HIES to inform current patterns on food and nutrient consumption in Marshall Islands. The analysis of the food insecurity experience scale data collected in the 2019/20 HIES reveals that more than one household in three is experiencing moderate or severe levels of food insecurity, which means they are lacking money or other resources to access foods in enough quantity or of good quality.

Initial Communication under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change RMI 2000

This report on the State of the Climate in South-West Pacific 2020 is the first of its kind for this region and a milestone multi-agency effort to deliver informed climate analysis and climate change trends.

Proposed Project Objective: Enhanced use of data for decision making in the environment sector throughout the Pacific region. Building on the tools and momentum the Inform project established, this scaled up project will expand the user base and fill significant gaps including in situ monitoring, increased partnerships between the environment ministries and other ministries, increase use of spatial tools, and the establishment of standardise environmental standards and key indicators for key resources.

Focusing management efforts on thermal refugia may only be effective in the short-term. Promoting adaptation to higher temperatures and facilitating migration will instead be needed to secure coral reef survival.

This report provides a detailed assessment of the Majuro water sector, and the vulnerability of four critical water infrastructures to projected climate change impacts. This report also provides recommendations for redesigning and retrofitting the existing water infrastructure so as to better prepare for current climate variability and future climate change risks.
